CeCC and the Fitzroy Legal Service have continued their association, which started with the online publishing of the Fitzroy Legal Service handbook, to publish the Services Directory Online.

New Intranet and Other Developments at Regional Library
The intranet/extranet services which CeCC has established for the Central Highlands Regional Library (CHRL) have gained rapid stakeholder acceptance. A new project is now underway to extend the service through the development of an online reference database. The public area of the CHRL website is also to be redeveloped during the first half of 2007.

Women in IT Luncheon
The University of Ballarat, in conjunction with Vic ICT for Women, recently hosted a lunch to help celebrate Women in IT in the Ballarat region. Over 35 women (and a couple of brave men) who have forged a career, or have a keen interest, in this ever expanding area attended the lunch to listen to presentations from local IT business women and men.

Ballarat ICT Cluster Receives Further Backing
"A new information and communications technology (ICT) cluster will go ahead in Ballarat with the help of a $65,000 Bracks Government grant, the Member for Ballarat East, Geoff Howard, said today [Friday 9 June].

Mr Howard said the Regional Innovation Clusters Program grant would support the growth and initial development of the Ballarat ICT Cluster, which will be made up of approximately 50 ICT businesses and agencies in the Ballarat region." (Extract from Press Release - 9 June).
