Omnibus Art is the creative base for artist Velislav Georgiev and writer Tor Roxburgh. The gallery complex was designed by Velislav and is based on the idea of a traditional artist's complex, which is a place where an artist can live, produce work and trade.
The gallery at 148A Inglis Street Ballan
The gallery is used primarily to display Velislav's own work, but also holds general exhibitions. Omnibus Art has a particular interest in hosting exhibitions that provide opportunities for professional artists to engage with the broader community and in acting as a venue for community inclusive art projects.
In 2007, the gallery worked with Wombat Regional Arts Network to host the inaugural Ballan & District Frankibald Portrait Prize that saw 42 portraits of locals in a single venue.
