Centre Director: Helen Thompson Helen is responsible for the achievement of all CeCC organisational objectives in respect of project management, client service, business development and financial management. Helen has extensive experience in the delivery and management of online service initiatives. She is engaged in research into the use of ICT as a mechanism for community development, and is involved in a range of activities where her personal and professional skills contribute to the economic and social development of regional and rural Victoria. Before commencing with CeCC in 1999 Helen was employed as a Business Services Accountant and spent nearly ten years in the banking sector. She has just completed a Doctorate of Business Administration at the University of Ballarat - her thesis topic was "Reflections on effective implementation of ICT in regional and rural areas" with two main themes - regional economic and community development and the consequences of government-funded information and communication technology (ICT) initiatives. Manager Technical Projects: Andrew Macleod Andrew has extensive experience in project planning and control and in the implementation of major information technology projects. With a strong understanding of eCommerce and portal technology and strategies, Andrew's technical skills include web development and programming (PHP, XML/XSLT and JavaScript). Previous projects have ranged from database design and implementation to community portals and web pages. Andrew has worked extensively with regional and rural communities to implement effective web-based services. Andrew completed a Bachelor of Computing at the University of Ballarat, followed by an Honours in Applied Science (Information Technology). Andrew has been with CeCC since 1999 and has been Technical Manager since 2002. Andrew achieved certification as a Zend Certified Engineer (ZCE) during 2006. Senior Programmer: Paul Feely Paul joined CeCC in 2003 after working in the web development and IT industry. Paul specialises in PHP and MySQL development and has been the lead programmer on major projects including PAMS, GRDC and CeCC internal products. He completed his combined Bachelor of Computing / Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Ballarat in 2001, and completed his Honours in Computing during 2003 while working part-time with CeCC. Programmer: Heath Gillett Heath joined CeCC in June 2009. After receiving a full time scholarship, he completed a Bachelor of Computing at the University of Ballarat in 1999. After three years working on application development and support for a multi-national company based in Melbourne, he returned to Ballarat to provide IT support at Telstra. Web Developer: Craig Briody Craig has expertise in programming, as well as the design, development and implementation of web-based and other information technology based projects. He has significant experience in the development and delivery of comprehensive client training programs. Craig completed a Bachelor of Computing at the University of Ballarat and had two years practical experience as a technical officer with a Melbourne based software house prior his joining the CeCC team in 2002. Web Developer: Scott Limmer Scott joined the CeCC development team on a part-time basis in January 2008 to assist with the expanding programming and web development activities of the centre. Scott completed a Bachelor of Information Technology at the University of Ballarat in 2009 and became a full-time member of CeCC in 2010, introducing new multimedia and web2 technology skills to the team. Marketing Consultant: Rebecca Lubeek Rebecca joined CeCC on a part-time basis during 2006 to assist in developing a marketing plan and new communication materials. Rebecca has extensive experience in marketing, including strategy development, communications and promotions, product development, international marketing and market research. Rebecca completed a Bachelor of Management with a major in marketing at the University of Ballarat in 1998. Prior to joining CeCC Rebecca worked in both domestic and international marketing and sales roles with local Ballarat companies. | Office Manager: Angela Cox Angela joined CeCC on a part-time basis in April 2009 primarily to maintain the School of Business website. She now undertakes a number of other roles including accounts, administration, and co-ordination of events. Website Coordinator: Kara Hodgson Kara has over 15 years experience in administration at the University of Ballarat, starting in the Vice-Chancellor's Office before moving to the School of Business. After a period of maternity leave in 2004-5 Kara was recruited by CeCC as the School of Business Website Coordinator to manage the development and ongoing maintenance of the School of Business website and to coordinate the identification, planning, development and implementation of new online service projects within the School. Project Officer: Jennifer Corbett Jennifer joined CeCC on a part-time basis in early 2009 working on a specific client project, and has since assisted with ICT projects in the Central Highlands and Wimmera Southern Mallee regions. Jennifer completed a Bachelor of Management (Marketing) at the University of Ballarat in 2008 and is currently finishing her Honours in Marketing.
